What should I do if the water jet cutting machine is frozen?
In cold regions and countries, waterjet cutting users need to do antifreeze treatment to the waterjet machines before taking a long vacation:
Completely drain the water in the equipment, remove the High-Pressure and Low-Pressure water channels, and completely blow out the internal water with an air gun. In order to avoid freezing inside the device and damage caused by turning it on after the holiday.
For cold regions and countries, the icing in water circuits is that affects normal operation of a waterjet cutting machine.
So after a long holiday for a customer, there are some start-up precautions for your waterjet cutting machine:
1: Do not directly turn on the machine, it is easy to cause damage to the ceramic plunger, low-pressure cylinder and piston seal, etc.
2: One of the reasons why the machine does not run is that the low-pressure water is insufficient. It may be that the low-pressure water circuit is frozen. Check whether the low-pressure water meter reaches 0.5MPa.
Something need to be checked:
The first step is to check the hydraulic oil to see if the viscosity is qualified, and observe the oil condition at the same time. If oil turns white or milky white, then the hydraulic oil has entered the water, it is recommended that the customer replace the hydraulic oil.
The second step is to check the low-pressure water circuit to see if there is frozen, and manually check whether the low-pressure water pump is running normally, and replace the low-pressure water filter element.
The third step, check the high-pressure water circuit to see if there is any freezing place: high-pressure tube, high-pressure filter element, on/off valve seal kits. (It is recommended to replace the high-pressure water filter element)
The fourth step, remove the orifice and cutting nozzle.
The fifth step, apply lubricating oil on the linear screw, or use an automatic lubrication system to lubricate the linear.
The sixth step, make the cutting table operation at low speed manually run the gantry several times
The seventh step, turn down the pressure of the intensifier pump, manually turn on/off the intensifier pump for several times to listen if the working sound is normal
The eighth step, install the orifice, turn on the intensifier pump under low pressure mode and run it for ten minutes, and if there is no problem at operation on pressure up to 100MPa
And finally, it is able to normally work.
For waterjet cutting users who have no maintenance and water discharge before the holiday
1: It must be frozen in cold regions. We advise them to directly disassemble the intensifier, low-pressure water circuit, and high-pressure water circuit.
2: We advise them to replace the high-pressure seal assembly, oil seal, filter element, orifice, and analyze to replace them in special situation.
